Joshua de Vera is an independent filmmaker from the Philippines who explores themes of queer yearning and third spaces in his shorts, 'please, remember this night' and 'At Least We Had This Moment' which premiered at Queer East Festival 2025 in London. He was also a fellow at Climate Story Lab by Active Vista and British Council. His third short 'Elephant Paths' is currently under story development at the Sinekabataan Film Lab and Festival.
